Home from the Babymoon!

We went from Thursday till today to Newport, Rhode Island for a mini-getaway. It was great! We had both never been there before but the town is great and so beautiful. We stayed at the Chanler hotel and in this awesome room. We had a huge bathroom and our own personal rooftop deck which we got to actually use because yesterday the weather was just about 70. We walked ALLLL around town, seriously I would say like 5 miles, so I didn't feel too bad about all the eating we did lol. It was nice to have some alone time and just relax since the next couple months are going to be craziness getting ready for lil miss baby s. Here are some pics from the trip!

When we got home, John was awesome and did more of the painting, now all we have left to do is paint the black stripe and we are done painting! Or should I say, John is done painting, lol. I guess my job is to decorate, which is fine with me! I am so looking forward to school being totally over so I can completely focus and get the room to how I want it to be!

So, Sadie has been sleeping since we got home, not sure why she is so tired but does it get cuter than this schmoopy face?!?! I love her!

finally in the 3rd trimester...

well maybe i shouldn't say finally, because it definitely is going faster than i thought it would but still, woo hoo! we are in the final countdown :)

we started work on the nursery this weekend, i took some before and after pics but won't be revealing any more after this until the final product. here are some of the before pictures:

i seriously LOVE this pink. it is called ribbon pink by benjamin moore and looks awesome... the bottom 1/3 of the wall is going to be white and there will be a black stripe seperating the 2 colors. john is working so hard on it and doing such a good job, baby girl is lucky to have such an awesome daddy :)
and as usual, here are my 27 week belly pics! 2 weeks ago, i felt SO big, but this week i felt small. i think i am just getting used to it, until my next big growth spurt, lol.

this weekend we are going to newport, ri for a little babymoon (lame word). it is a much needed mini vacay for me and especially for john, i am looking forward to some alone time and some fun, and yummy food!

What a beautiful few days it has been, and this week is going to be awesome too. Ahhh I love spring and summer!
So baby is growing, andddd so am I. LOL. I feel ginormous lately. I keep telling John that I can't believe I have 3months to go and I am going to be SO much bigger, I'm scared!
Here are my 24 weeks pics:

They are kind of dark, I guess the flash wasn't on. We went to the city that night for John's bday present, we saw Tracy Morgan at Caroline's and went for dinner at Bar Americain - YUM. It was sooooo good!
Today we took a nice long walk with Sadie and played ball, of course! Here are my 25 week pics, I told you I am huge!

 

One pic is a mommy view and the other is a nice daffodil blooming in our front yard. We had a nice Easter at Mimi's and I of course stuffed myself, oh well I am going to take full advantage of eating like a pig while pregnant, lol. 

Nothing much else is going on, we are going to decide on paint colors for the baby room next week and paint the week after. Then have the furniture delivered in May before my shower. 

I love these letters for the room, I think it's a cute way to incorporate the name without the huge hanging letters that I am just not a fan of...

Then I found these adorable bloomers and headbands, all on etsy, that website is awesome, but it is going to make me go broke by the time she's here, girl stuff is too damn cute!

Time has been flying lately and I am sure with the warmer weather it will go even quicker. I can't wait to meet the baby, but I am looking forward to the time to do all the things we need to get done before she is here!
