gia's first christmas

We had such a great time over the past few days celebrating christmas and then getting snowed in by a huge blizzard! We had christmas eve at our house for the first time. It was a success! I baked cookies, made yummy appetizers and we had a seafood feast :)
We used our dining room for the first time ever, pathetic right?!
Here is Gia being a good girl while we set everything up...
The table all set. We got these fun red wine glasses that were nice and festive and we used our china for the first time too!

Sadie was all ready to go

All ready for Santa with my Gigi <3
The next morning we woke up and Santa had definitely made a visit during the night, look at all those presents!
We were trying to get a family shot using the timer... came out pretty good!

Sadie of course had to get in for a picture

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I feel so blessed to to have my amazing husband and daughter, I am truly so lucky. The one person missing this holiday was my mom. I miss her so much. She is doing better but she still needs lots of prayers!

5 months!

wow wow wow, where does the time go? i feel like i am so busy everyday with gia and now with the holidays that time is just FLYING. kind of scares me. i just want to push pause!
gia can so so many things now it is awesome. she does this screech/squeal thing that is almost like her way of showing how happy she is to see you, I LOVE IT! then yesterday i felt her first tooth coming in, EEK! she's just so happy and fun to be around and SO inquisitve, she pays attention to everything and always wants to explore. She has also discovered Sadie, and it's hysterical. If only the dog would pay attention to Gia!!!
Here are her 5 month pics, she discovered there was a teddy bear sitting next to her and wouldn't put it down.

Her faces just crack me up. I love her more than anything and am so thankful everyday that I get to spend my life taking care of this little munchkin!!!
One more month till we start solid foods, that should be fun :)
I promise to start blogging more, need to keep all 5 people who read this updated lol!

Michael Charles Dugan has arrived!

On 11/7/10 my best friend Marybeth gave birth to a beautiful baby boy... and Gia's future hubby lol. I went to go see him in the hospital the next day, he is freaking adorable! I couldn't believe how small he was and he was a 1.5 pounds heavier than gia was! Here are some pics but I just realized I suck and didn't get any pics of Marybeth and him. We are going to visit next week so I will get more!
He has so much hair!!!

Think I'm ready for another? lol. He is adorable, good job Mike and MB!!! Love you guys so much!

4 Months!

Time is absolutley flying and my lil munch is already 4 months old, sigh. We went to the doctor on her actual 4 month bday and she is weighing in at 13 lbs. 15 oz. and is 24.5 inches! she is so tall! she basically gained 2 pounds and grew 2 inches from her 2 month visit.
She has been doing so many things lately, I am super impressed! She can sit on her own for a bit before falling over and she can support herself on her 2 hands. She also can grab and hold onto things and shes still babbling on and on but no real words yet.
Lately I think she has been having some separation anxiety bc whenever she sees a woman who isn't me and I am not holding her she smiles all happy but then starts to cry when she realizes its not me! I am hoping its not too long of a phase, I hate to see her sad :(
As usual here are her monthly pics:

and here are some pics of her just hanging out and playing. I am making headbands for her now and going to be selling them soon, so she is my model :)

My Mom...

As most of you know my mom as Alzheimer's disease/dementia. Things have progressed over the past few months and she has spent the last 2 and a half months in 2 psychiatric hospitals where we are trying to get her back on track to being happy and just able to function and stay home with my dad. Anyway, I just wanted to ask you all to keep her in your thoughts and prayers and if you have a chance to check out this article on Alzheimer's... It was in the NY Times and was written by former Supreme Court justice Sandra Day O'Connor.

Here is a pic of me and her from my bachelorette party... I just miss my mom and wish she was able to spend time with Gia.

Love you Mom....

Bath Time!

Ok lil naked babies are too stinkin cute, and especially my Gia, lol.  Since it is cold out now she is always in pants and long sleeve shirts, meaning I do not get to see all her aforable chubby rolls nearly as often as I should! So I love bath time because she is in all her chunky glory! Here are some safe for the internets photos :)

I love this lil girl!!!
