cookies!

I was so excited this year to bake cookies with Gia. She is so much more into things this year and she LOVES her sweets. So I had planned to do it on a weekend before the christmas rush but then I got the stomach flu and was a mess so I did it the weekend before. It was kind of hilarious trying to bake with her. She did not listen to me and was touching EVERYTHING lol. Then I messed up 2 of the doughs, I was on a freaking roll. We finally got everything baked and decoarated and it was so fun. Then we brought Gia up to bed and Sadie ate like 30 cookies. I almost killed her!!! Well at least we had fun baking them!

i messed up the chocolate chip recipe but the batter tasted good so i just threw in some butterscotch chips and made a new cookie... they tasted pretty good!

 making the shapes, thank god john was here because i was AWFUL at this part. i am really just not a very good baker!

9 Months!

I can't believe he has been here as long as he was in my belly. A year and a half of having you a part of my life already Jack, I can barely remember before you were here now :)
Things have been crazy this month, you are learning so much so fast. I always think how babies are the opposite of lazy. They NEVER stop. Seriously you are nuts Jack, you keep me on my toes for sure. Here is what you are up to:
-standing and kind of cruising
-you can walk with your walker and this stool Gia uses in the kitchen
-size 4 diapers
-sleeping through the night (630/7-630/7) FINALLY!!!
-we just finished nursing :( i planned on stopping around this time but then I wanted to keep going. Unfortunately I staretd noticing my supply was diminishing and then I had a stomach flu and barely ate for a week. That basically did me in. You are doing fab on the formula and have no problem taking a bottle. I will miss it though...
-playing with your sister and driving her crazy lol
-says 'dadadada' i think one time said mama. other consonant babble but no other real 'words' yet
-still eating like a champ. starting to get sick of purees I think so when we go to the doctor I will see if I can feed you more solids.
-overall you are a blast to be around. you are normally in a great mood and I have so much fun with you everyday :)

gingerbread house!

i never made a gingerbread house, i apparently led a deprived childhood (kidding) but saw this little kit in trader joe's and scooped it up! thought it would be a ton of fun!

she saw the gum drops in the kit and went crazyyyyy so i gave her some swedish fish to keep her happy, mom of the year! she kept saying 'I EAT IT' about every part of the thing so i had to do something lol

see-haw and cow were obviously invited to make the gingerbread house too!

it is also necessary to wear 2 gaudy rings while decorating
