visit with mom

on saturday of memorial day weekend we went to visit my mom. you never really know what you are going to get when you visit but we got super lucky and had a great visit. she was in a really good mood and talking up a storm. i haven't heard her speak a sentence in a long long time but she said a few things that actually made sense. plus she was laughing and happy and i know she knew it was us who was there. gia is so good with her, always asking about grandma and saying how much she loves her. one day we were there and she even asked me 'what's wrong with grandma'.  broke my heart but i am so glad she isn't afraid of her or anything like that. john was so awesome and took a lot of great pics!

 this one was the best, my dad was so happy we got it.
