Happy Easter!

What a beautiful few days it has been, and this week is going to be awesome too. Ahhh I love spring and summer!
So baby is growing, andddd so am I. LOL. I feel ginormous lately. I keep telling John that I can't believe I have 3months to go and I am going to be SO much bigger, I'm scared!
Here are my 24 weeks pics:

They are kind of dark, I guess the flash wasn't on. We went to the city that night for John's bday present, we saw Tracy Morgan at Caroline's and went for dinner at Bar Americain - YUM. It was sooooo good!
Today we took a nice long walk with Sadie and played ball, of course! Here are my 25 week pics, I told you I am huge!

 

One pic is a mommy view and the other is a nice daffodil blooming in our front yard. We had a nice Easter at Mimi's and I of course stuffed myself, oh well I am going to take full advantage of eating like a pig while pregnant, lol. 

Nothing much else is going on, we are going to decide on paint colors for the baby room next week and paint the week after. Then have the furniture delivered in May before my shower. 

I love these letters for the room, I think it's a cute way to incorporate the name without the huge hanging letters that I am just not a fan of...

Then I found these adorable bloomers and headbands, all on etsy, that website is awesome, but it is going to make me go broke by the time she's here, girl stuff is too damn cute!

Time has been flying lately and I am sure with the warmer weather it will go even quicker. I can't wait to meet the baby, but I am looking forward to the time to do all the things we need to get done before she is here!

The past few night baby girl has been making lots of moves in my belly, but last night was insane. I thought I could feel her little fist punch me! I am still startled every time she moves, it is an amazing but also super weird feeling! Kind of like a little alien is moving around in there!
In other exciting news my friend Juli FINALLY had her baby, a girl, Quinn Caroline. I am so happy for her and her husband John and can't wait to meet this little cutie. She was something like 11 days late so her arrival was much anticpated!
Other than that, things are great. We are getting tons of awesome clothes for the baby and we are going to paint the room next month. Time is going pretty fast, only a few more weeks left in my 2nd trimester, craziness! As usual here are some pics, we had gorgeous weather this past weekend, and I even got a little tan, it felt awesome to get some color in my skin!

21 Weeks!

I am more than halfway there, woo hoo! We have been sooooo busy the past 2 weekends getting ready for baby girl scicutella. We cleaned out the entire room that will be the nursery and that is a big relief. We also are basically done registering for all our baby gear AND we ordered our awesome furniture this weekend. I am so excited because it is going to look awesome. We thought we wanted one set and then when we walked in the store we decided on a completely different, and way more feminine one. Now we just have to paint but we are going to wait till the weather is warmer to start that.

A few weeks ago, we went to see Liz, Ryan and their cutie pie Mya. Here are a few pics I took when we were there... I wish we lived closer so we could see each other more often :(

IT'S A GIRL!!!

OMG we are so thrilled. We went to our appointment last Tuesday and got to see the baby for about an hour. Most importantly, she looks great. Everything is healthy and looks perfect so far. I am so lucky to have a healthy baby :)
So of course we went shopping and bought the cutest stuff. We also started planning the nursery. The colors are going to be pink, black and white with a damask pattern. I looked and looked for the perfect bedding but didn't find the one I wanted. So I went on etsy.com, which is an awesome website where people offer tons of handmade items, and I ordered the bedding I wanted in the colors I wanted and even got matching valances :) Here is a peak of what the color scheme looks like:

 

We are going to paint the walls a light pink and white with a stripe of black. We have to figure out which color we want on the top. It will be similar to these pics:

More belly pics to come this weekend.... Now is time for the name game. I think we made a lot of progress since finding out it is definitely a girl. BUT we will be keeping the name a secret for the most part. I want to meet her before I officially name her :)
Only 19 more weeks!!!

19 weeks and the anticipation is building....

because on tuesday we will finally know the sex of our baby, YAY! I am so excited, I am trying not to think about it too much because I will get myself all in a tizzy over it, lol. We had a good weekend this week, we had our friend Chris and Heather's son Christopher's first bday party, he is so adorable and so is their daughter Ava. It was great to see our friends and have some great food! It also made me so excited because soon we will get to have our little baby at the party, only a few more months :)
Then today we just did a lot of things around the house, there are a few things I would like to do to the house, minus the baby's room, before july. It's like a never ending process!

We have been getting a lot of snow lately, on Tuesday it snowed allllll day and left me stranded inside with Sadie. Here are a few pics of the snow, it was a heavy snow and stuck to like every single branch on the tree I tried to capture how awesome it was, but it was hard to!

18 weeks

Today is 2/15 and we are getting yet more SNOW, ugh. I really really REALLY can't wait till winter is over and at least it starts getting warmer, I am starting to go stir crazy! Anyway, I didn't take 17 week pics because I forgot and really I didn't notice much of a difference but here are the 18 weekers....

 

The belly is growing! And only 1 more week till we go to find out the sex, I really can't wait!

wowzers

so i think i finally have a belly, all of a sudden last week it was like WHOA. now i basically need to wear my maternity jeans or leggings and most of my normal shirts feel very tight and uncomfortable when i wear them. here are some pics i just took, i think they will explain for themselves!

 

i forced sadie to take some pics with me too. she's so cute! we go to the doctor on wednesday and might be able to find out the sex, i hope so, i am getting super impatient :) feeling very lucky and blessed though, definitely no complaints here!

almost 16 weeks...

My baby belly is almost visible to people who don't know I am pregnant, so I am super excited for that. I am even wearing these maternity jeans I got from Gap and I LOVE THEM. Elastic waists rule :)

I discovered photoshop for free online so I hope you like the fun words I put on the pictures. I am trying to become a little more internet savvy so I can make this blog more fun!
Next week we go for our checkup appointment where we might be able to find out the sex! If baby cooperates and the doc can tell, we shall see! If not then we go back to the specialist doctor on feb. 23rd for the anatomy scan so we will definitely know then if not next week. I can't wait!
I want to post all of the fun furniture and bedding and room ideas I have, I will do that soon.

some updates...

we had our 2 doctor appointments last week and everything seemed great. at the 1st trimester screening there was a flat screen tv and it was pretty cool to see the baby like that, on a huge screen and in a lot of detail. it was moving around a LOT, the u/s tech was laughing because we could barely freeze the screen to get any pictures. the legs were pushing off the 'walls' and doing almost flips. it is crazy that they have fingers and toes that you can actually count and all the other little body parts that are formed and now just have to grow. here is one picture from our normal ob appointment, the screening appointment only printed pictures out on paper and they are hard to scan.  it's waving its little hand at us :)

another thing i have been thinking a lot about lately is the nursery! we went to look at furniture over the weekend and i am glad we starte because there is a lot of stuff to choose from, but i think we narrowed it down to a few options.
other than that, life is as normal. i think my bump is starting to show, i will take another picture on friday. and sadie is turning 3 years old on saturday, i can't believe my little girl is going to be 3! i can't wait to see how she interacts with the baby, i think they are going to be best friends :)

time has been flying!

i can't believe i am already 12 weeks pregnant! so much has happened in the past 6 weeks since i have updated this, i suck at updating it but now that work and school have calmed down significantly i will have a lot more time to take pics and keep this thing current!
so we went to the doctor just about 3 weeks ago and had another ultrasound, the baby grew SO much and instead of just being a dot on the screen it was an actual little person with a head, arms and legs plus it was moving! here is a pic from the appointment:

now here are a few pictures of me at 10 weeks, i am getting bigger but still looking just fat in my opinion!

today is a HUGEEEE jets game so i am of course wearing my jersey for this photo session, lol 12 week pics:

this week is going to be a BIG one. we have our normal check up appointment on tuesday with the ob then on wednesday we go for the nuchal transluscency scan, it is a big ultrasound and we will get to see the baby for awhile and maybe even in 3D. i am excited but also nervous, i will be in 2nd tri on friday and once these appointments are over i will feel a lot better! i will update with new pics every week from now on, promise!
